Clima
Weather in the metropolitan area of Barcelona is Mediterranean, with many sunny days, warm temperatures in summer and mild in winter. The average annual temperature is 20.9 ºC in summer and 15 ºC in winter.

Mediterranean diet, complete and healthy, is known worldwide. Catalonia has the greatest concentration of restaurants awarded Michelin stars in Spain, 17 of which are located in the metropolitan area.

The metropolitan area of Barcelona has 32 km of beaches where people can enjoy the sea and water sports practically throughout the year. Environmental quality and of the facilities of Barcelona beaches has been recognised with the award of Blue Flags of the European Union.

Network of metropolitan parks
The AMB network of metropolitan parks currently manages 34 parks spread across 35 municipalities, with a total area of 193.5 ha. It includes places of great value for their natural, environmental and landscape values, as well as the important social function they develop.

The metropolitan area of Barcelona has a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. Metropolitan municipalities concentrate almost 70 museums, all kinds of exhibition galleries, lots of theatres and numerous buildings of great architectural value.
